MarginX

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated July 2026

The short version: once a billing cycle starts, it is not refundable, except when our own service fails and we cannot fix it in time. Cancelling is always free and instant.

1. General policy — no refunds on active cycles

In short

Once a monthly charge goes through, it is final. Cancel before the next renewal to avoid being charged again.

MarginX subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Once a billing cycle has started, that charge is not refundable — the same way a monthly gym or software subscription usually works. You keep full access for the entire period you paid for, regardless of how much you use the terminal during it.

2. Exception — unresolved technical failure

In short

If the terminal is seriously broken and we can't fix it within a reasonable time, we will refund that billing period.

If MarginX suffers a technical failure that prevents you from using the core terminal for a significant portion of your billing period, and we are unable to resolve it within 7 business days of you reporting it to support@marginx.finance, we will refund the affected billing period in full.

3. How to cancel

In short

Cancel from your account settings, or email us — either way, it stops future charges immediately.

  • Open your account settings inside the terminal and select "Cancel subscription".
  • Or email support@marginx.finance from the address on your account and we will cancel it for you within one business day.
  • Cancelling before your renewal date guarantees you will not be charged again.
  • You keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for — cancelling does not cut off access early.

4. Refund timelines by payment method

In short

Approved refunds are issued back to your original payment method, typically within the timelines below.

  • Mercado Pago: typically reflected on your card statement within 5–10 business days after we issue the refund.
  • PayPal: typically reflected in your PayPal balance or card statement within 3–5 business days after we issue the refund.

Exact timing ultimately depends on your card issuer or bank, which is outside our control.

5. Failed payments

In short

If a monthly charge fails, we'll retry it and email you — your access only pauses if it keeps failing.

If a renewal charge fails (e.g. an expired card), Mercado Pago or PayPal will automatically retry it over the following days, and we'll email you so you can update your payment method. Access continues during the retry window; it only pauses if every retry fails and the method isn't updated.

6. Disputes and chargebacks

In short

Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank — we can usually resolve it faster directly.

If you believe you were charged in error, email support@marginx.finance first — most issues are resolved within a day or two this way. Filing a chargeback directly with your bank instead skips that faster path and can take weeks to resolve through the card network.

7. Price changes

In short

If we ever raise the price, it never applies to a period you already paid for.

If we change the subscription price, we notify active subscribers in advance. A price change only applies starting your next renewal — never retroactively to a period you already paid for.
